Bonnybridge

Lines to the west of Falkirk on the OS One Inch map of 1957.  All of the 'solid' rail lines are still there, apart from the short branch to the former Bonnybridge Caledonian terminus see image 6665, though of the four stations shown only Cumbernauld survives.  Cumbernauld had not yet been developed and remained a village at a fork in the road with a station some distance off - so far away in fact that a separate community was building up around it.  Crown copyright 1957.
