St Brydes

Views north (left) and south from the Howwood - Lochwinnoch road overbridge at the site of the proposed (but never built) G&SW station between Kilbarchan and Lochwinnoch. The photographs were taken in 1974 at which point all services had been discontinued over the route and the track was awaiting lifting. While generally referred to as Castle Semple, had a station opened here it is likely to have been named Howwood (West) or St Bryde's. See image 32535
