Eyemouth
Looking north east along the Eye Water towards Eyemouth harbour on 27 January 1962. The photograph, taken one week before final closure of the branch, shows a J39 0-6-0 (a class which more or less monopolised workings during the final years) shunting the terminus. Eyemouth Parish Church overlooks the scene from Victoria Road. [With thanks to Bill Jamieson]
