Lostock Hall Junction
47480 Robin Hood approaches Lostock Hall Junction with a diverted Up passenger service that has run via the S&C, Hellifield and Blackburn. The cleared area by the catch points is where the former line to Todd Lane Junction and Preston E.L. diverged until 1972. Brush Type 4 47480, which emerged from Crewe in 1964 as D1616, subsequently became 47971 but was withdrawn in 1998 and cut up at EMR Kingsbury in 2001.
