Elrington
Late afternoon scene at Elrington, Northumberland, in November 2010. View east along the trackbed towards Hexham over the old station on the former Allendale branch, with its fenced off platform and much modified station house. A loading dock for handling livestock was located at the far end of the station. Elrington closed to passengers in September 1930, with the branch itself closing completely in 1950.
