Lowther Avenue

Boat Car No. 600, painstakingly restored for the Blackpool Tramway 125 celebrations, makes a fine sight as it leaves the stop at Lowther Avenue and heads along the cliffs to Bispham. Seven of these stylish open cars were built in 1934 to replace early open toastrack trams and must have been a real contrast to their predecessors. Three of them are still in regular service as part of Blackpool's heritage fleet.
