Markinch

One for the signage fans. The changes in franchises and images over the years didn't usually mean that Scottish station signs were fully replaced, and the brand stripe at the bottom often became a palimpsest ['erased and used for another text'. Ed]. Signs are currently being replaced with the saltire versions, but immediately before that signs were only replaced when really necessary, and then only a few locations with signs with non-bold lettering and a blue FSR stripe as opposed to a purple one with the FSR logo stuck on top. Markinch received them 3 years ago when it became a transport interchange. [Star of Markinch is not a TV talent show winner but the Sunday name of the village of Star.]
