Foxfield
Looking north from Foxfield's island platform the sharp curve where the line turns west to cross the Duddon estuary can be seen. It then heads south to Millom before turning north again towards Whitehaven. When this station was a junction for Coniston the platform was covered by an overall roof, now long gone. The white building in the distance stands on the Coniston branch formation. The line enjoys a reasonable Monday to Saturday service but no trains on Sundays.
