Steamtown, Pennsylvania

Tralee and Dingle Light Railway 2-6-2T no 5 on display at Steamtown Pa. in the 1960s. Built by Hunslet in 1892 (works no 555) the 3 ft gauge locomotive operated on the T&DLR in Co Kerry until closure of the line in 1953 and was sold to Steamtown in 1959. The locomotive was repatriated in 1986 and, following restoration work, was back in steam in 1992. No 5 now operates on the Tralee and Blennerville Railway, itself a short section of the original line.
