Tongland Viaduct
Part of the surviving remnants of Tongland Viaduct are seen here behind a house alongside the A711 road. The road crosses the River Dee running parralel to the old Kirkcudbright railway but then swings sharp right to pass under the line although the road bridge has been removed since the line closed in 1965.
