The veteran tablet machines at Barrhill are still in use in the station office and not a lot has changed since Ewan's visit in 1988 See image 8464. However, the old telephones are no longer used and there are now two prominent SPAD checklists. The gradient profile from Girvan to Glenwhilly is still displayed above the instruments, Barrhill being represented by the diagonal line just to the right of the padlock.
