Churston

From country junction to engineering hub. Churston was, until 1963, the junction for the short branch to Brixham but the station is now the engineering centre for the company that owns the steam railway. The Brixham bay is now occupied by the workshop that can be seen at the end of the platform to the right of the train. An even larger workshop backs onto the opposite platform occupying the old goods yard. GWR 2-8-0T 5239 calls at Churston on a Paignton to Kingswear service in June 2010.
