Haverthwaite
Hard to believe that Repulse is one of the battered wrecks that had such a hard life at the Haig and Ladysmith collieries in Whitehaven See image 26735. It was actually bought from the scrapman at the colliery, a last minute rescue in 1975, but has been painstakingly restored and probably finds lifting six MkI coaches up to Lakeside a doddle compared to life at the pit.
