Bathgate Shed
The abandoned Bathgate shed looking west in May 2005. This modern shed (BR code 64F) was opened in 1954 replacing the original which had succumbed to subsidence. A year after the new shed opened, Bathgate had an allocation of 36 steam locomotives, of which over half were ex-NB Holmes class J36 0-6-0s.
