Wolverhampton Low Level

Long unused and disconnected from the rail network, Wolverhampton Low Level Station is seen here looking west from Sun Street towards Oxley in February 1997. Following closure to passengers in early 1972 see image 28115 the station had been converted for use as a parcels depot and later provided accommodation for the Divisional Engineering staff. The listed main station building is now earmarked to become part of a mixed retail and residential development.
