Blackpool North

Britannia Pacific no 70013 Oliver Cromwell stands on Blackpool North shed (Talbot Road) on Boxing Day 1967 after bringing in a football excursion from Carlisle. Although officially closed in 1964, Blackpool North was used to service locomotives until almost the end of steam. The shed was finally demolished in 1975. (Note for football fans: The league division 2 match at Bloomfield Road on 26 December 1967 ended Blackpool 1 Carlisle United 1 and was watched by a crowd of 20,732.)
