Sighthill Junction

An oil train from Paisley (Hawkhead) passes Sighthill Junction signalbox (now demolished) heading for the E&G. It is following the alignment of the City of Glasgow Union Railway whereas on the right are the (now lifted) lines of the first line here - the Sighthill Goods Branch of the E&G. The North British Locomotive Company's Atlas Works were off to the left and its Hyde Park Works were off to the right. Photograph taken looking south from Springburn station.
