Farington Curve Junction

Class 25 No. 25276 heads a long rake of 22 parcels vans south from Preston on the Up Fast line at Farington Curve Junction in 1979. As D7626 this was one of the batch of Sulzer Type 2 locomotives built by Beyer Peacock at Gorton emerging in 1965. It was withdrawn from Bescot in 1982 and cut up at Swindon three years later but sister loco D7629 is preserved on the GCR(N) at Ruddington.
