Cowdenbeath
Cowdenbeath on 14 April and the crew of 170 471 have just changed ends for the third and final time and are ready to return to Edinburgh and Newcraighall. Things would be a little easier for Cowdenbeath services if the crossover were to the north of the station (ie in the distance in this shot) rather than to the south. The station building dates from 1962 and its opening was thought worthy of an article in the British Railways staff newspaper.
