Milton Junction

The former Milton Junction was where the East Fife line left the main line just south of Leuchars station. The box which controlled it was called Leuchars South. The East Fife line was single so a tablet was needed, therefore a tablet platform was located alongside the box.  This odd remnant is the lamp which illuminated the platform, still in situ 41 years after the closure of the junction and box.  Photographed in April 2010 by sticking my head over the parapet of the overbridge on which it is mounted!
