High Street
Other cities suffered a decline in their medieval heart after the smart set started to move out west, but Glasgow fared worst than most. There's little left to interest the tourist in the gap-site High Street which seems to be busy only with traffic, though Strathclyde University students and a few commuters make their way to and from High Street station at appropriate times. The student flats behind the station seen here on 17 March occupy the site of College goods station.
