Gorebridge

Opened in 1847, closed in 1969, Gorebridge is one of the former Waverley route stations scheduled to reopen under current plans. The old station house, seen here on 8 March, has seen action on several fronts over the 40+ years since closure of the line, including a recent spell as a pub. The trackbed continues south under the roadbridge carrying the B6372 in the left background. See image 21520
