Port Melbourne

Station Pier at Port Melbourne in May 2009. Opened in 1854, and originally known as Railway Pier, the 4.5km link from Melbourne's Flinders Street station was one of the first significant railways in Australia. The lines now stop short of the pier and today form part of Melbourne's large tram network. The pier is used by the Tasmania Ferry.
