Lea Road
Just to the east of long closed Lea Road station, the Blackpool line crosses the Savick Brook, which in 2002 was canalised to provide a four mile link from the Lancaster Canal to the River Ribble. The bridge is made of red brick on the south side as seen here but the north side is blue brick dating from the line's quadrupling. A Northern Class 150 Sprinter heads for Blackpool.
