St Pancras

Looking towards the buffer stops at St Pancras on 27 January 2010. The International platforms are on the left, the national network platforms behind the camera and the shops and cafes to the lower right in the area that formed the station's undercroft (the platforms were built 20 ft above street level). The undercroft was used primarily for the storage of beer barrels shipped by the Midland Railway between the capital and Burton on Trent. The area has now been opened out as part of the highly successful 21st century revamp of the station.
