Last day of service at Throsk station (just out of sight to the right) in April 1966, latterly the only intermediate station on the Larbert-Alloa line. The signalman hands over the token for the single-track section over the bridge across the Forth (with its central swing section just visible). Passenger services continued over the bridge until 1968, with freight trains from Larbert to the Bandeath military depot (private siding connection at the bottom left) surviving until 1978.
