Coleford

The curators of the Coleford Railway Museum have certainly built a convincing re-creation of the original higgledy-piggledy arrangements in this pleasant Forest of Dean town, where traffic transferring from the S&W to the GWR - or vice versa - had to undertake FOUR reversals. Can't think why road haulage won the day, can you? Not too sure about that saddle tank painted in Stroudley's Improved Engine Green...
