Clachnaharry

Having cleared the bridge carrying the A862, the 0812 Wick - Inverness train runs past the deserted beer garden at the rear of the Clachnaharry Inn on 3 October as it approaches the swing bridge over the Caledonian Canal. With the chill wind and driving rain off the Beauly Firth, it was only the continuing thought of eventually taking a comfy seat near the warm fire in the bar that made this picture possible.
