Luxulyan

The route from the china clay pits to St Blazey and Par was originally a tramway which crossed this valley on the Treffry Viaduct before descending an incline to Ponts Mill. The line now climbs steeply up to Luxulyan and is even used by HSTs on summer Saturdays en route to Newquay. This picture taken from the viaduct looking NE in September 1962.
