Cliburn

Between Penrith and Appleby lies Cliburn, closed in 1956 six years before the line itself. The station is now a private residence and the signalbox, a remarkable survivor, is currently under restoration. View east from the site of the level crossing along the old trackbed towards Kirkby Thore and Appleby.
