Kilmarnock Goods Junction
Taken from the footpath which runs along the north side of the railway, looking south-west. The 0758 Hrs Sprinter (156513?) has just departed Kilmarnock for Glasgow Central. Johnnie Walker siding headshunt in the foreground (reopening unlikely with Diageo pulling Johnnie Walkers out of Kilmarnock). Kilmarnock No 1 signalbox was on the bank just about where the front end of the sprinter is passing (steps down the banking from the footpath are still there, but well buried in the brambles!).
