Earlston
Members of the crew of the last freight pose with a small group of family and friends at Earlston station on 16 July 1965. The lady and gentleman on the right are Jock and Nessie Craw who lived in the 'Crossing House' at the East End of the village. Jock was a linesman and his wife operated the crossing gates. The gentleman holding the child is Stationmaster Norman Jaffray. The child is Colin Craw, son of Jock and Jessie. [With thanks to Sheila McKay, Auld Earlston]
