Drumlithie

An old and much faded photograph taken during the early years at Drumlithie station, Aberdeenshire, located on the main line 7 miles south of Stonehaven. The photograph, one of two supplied by Gordon Will, has links to his relative, Robert Morrison, who worked on the railway in the 1850s. Drumlithie station was opened by the Aberdeen Railway Company on 1 November 1849 and finally closed on 11 June 1956.
