Glasgow St Enoch

'Happy Birthday... I got you a nice lump of coal...' This photograph, featuring Midland compound 1069 at St Enoch, thought to date from around 1936, was taken as an intended publicity shot, hence the young lady posed in the picture. However it was not used and subsequently lay in a file until rediscovered around 1972. You can also make out a Manson 0-6-0 in the background, presumably on station pilot duty.
