Cognac

Cognac - a name to conjure with for brandy drinkers but the station is nothing special to look at. This is a DMU driver's eye view of the station approach from the west end and the start of the passing loop. The crossing keeper's cottage on the left is now a private house, as are all the many others on this line. Behind the station is a large container depot with a resident SNCF shunter, or tracteur as they are known in France. No prizes for guessing the principal commodity being shipped out.
