Gateshead Shed
Another of the Gresley A3s to spend her final days at St Margarets was no 60042 Singapore. The Pacific, seen here displaying a 64A shed plate and looking very businesslike, is standing in the rain at Gateshead, near the end, with some of the depot's growing number of diesel locomotives in the background. 60042 was withdrawn from St Margarets in July of 1964 and cut up at Arnott Young, Carmyle, three months later.
