Holywood [1st]
The level crossing and signal box at Holywood, on the G&SW route north of Dumfries, seen here looking east on 10 June. Holywood is one of the reducing number of crossings in the UK where the gates continue to be operated manually by the signalman, using a wheel located within the box.
