Skipton

View over Skipton on a cold misty morning in April 2009, from the road overbridge at the north end of the station. A Class 333 EMU is about to leave for Leeds from the platform by the main station building and another for Bradford stands in the bay beyond. In the foreground is the former Grassington branch that still carries regular limestone trains and passes through the platforms that were also used for Ilkley line trains. The nicely restored canopies are clearly visible as are the three substantial subway entrances to the platforms.
