Scorton [Lancashire] [2nd]
A very early picture of Scorton station, perched high on the WCML embankment. The wooden platform buildings can be seen alongside the stone built station house. The station closed on 1.5.39 and all trace has been swept away. See image 23496 for a 2009 comparison from the same viewpoint, looking west along Station Lane just outside the village.
