Flamborough

An early Pesterfield! Grab shot taken on a Box Brownie through the windscreen of parent's Ford Prefect, around summer 1958, believed to be at Flamborough level crossing, near Bridlington. On the crossing is Gresley D49 4-4-0 no 62723 Nottinghamshire of 53B Hull (Botanic Gardens) shed. The Shire, built at Darlington works in 1928, was eventually cut up in the adjoining scrapyard there some 33 years later in January of 1961.
