Darlington [Bank Top]
Gresley A3 Pacific 60110 Robert the Devil of Kings Cross shed heads for home with a southbound ECML express on the approach to Darlington Bank Top on an overcast day in 1962. The train has just passed below the footbridge linking Darlington shed and the DMU depot north of the station. Darlington power station in the background closed in 1976 and the site was cleared by 1982.
