Skelton Junction
The Sunday morning 0908 Leeds - Glasgow Central CrossCountry service accelerates away from the stop at York on 19 April 2009. Most of the railway land in the background is earmarked for the massive York Central 'Teardrop' development (so called because of the shape of the site) which will comprise over 86 acres of housing, offices and retail units and on which work is scheduled to start in the near future.
