Kings Cross

Externally traffic - scarred, but internally as fit as a proverbial butcher's dog (one of impeccable pedigree, naturally), locomotive 55 017 The Durham Light Infantry arrives to take command of its train at around 11.20 a.m. on Monday March 13th 1978. It will shortly race up the ECML to Edinburgh at speeds in excess of 100 mph.
