Rufford
Looking north towards Rufford as an Ormskirk to Preston service makes its way across rural West Lancashire on 3 April 2009. Services on this route are normally single car Class 153s but, with the Grand National meeting at Aintree at the time, trains had been lengthened by the addition of a Class 142 unit.
