Langholm

The (by then) thrice weekly freight to Langholm in September 1967 crossing the A7 road just to the south of the town. This was originally scheduled to be the last freight working, but the line was later reprieved for a further week. [Shortly after the photographer pocketed his camera, mounted his motorbike and headed back to Hawick, EE type 1 D8101 jumped the points, necessitating call-out of the steam crane from Carlisle....D'oh!]
