Larbert

Two English exiles pass at Larbert North box on 4 March: 158 871 in Alphaline silver livery heads for Dunblane and while ex-SWT 158 786 approaches Larbert station with an Edinburgh service. The semaphore is in odd but pleasing contrast with the swish Network Rail Training School to the left. Last year semaphores gave way to LED MAS to the south at Larbert Junction and at Plean Junction to the north, where the very tall box (image 19254) is now demolished. There are LN (Larbert North) plates on the signals on their former patch.
