Carstairs
Looking in the direction of the Edinburgh line from Carstairs station in 1964. These are the scrap roads - and the interest is the variety of locos awaiting disposal, including a WD 2-10-0, Caley 4-4-0, Caley 3F and, over to the left, a couple of Duchess/Coronation Pacifics. The buildings of the State Hospital stand in the left background.
