Bedford St Johns
A DMU stands under the remains of the overall roof at the old Bedford St Johns station on the former Oxford - Cambridge line in 1976. View is west towards Bltchley. The remains were finally swept away in 1984 when a modern replacement was built slightly to the north on the spur to Bedford Midland. The new station is served by the hourly service running between Bedford Midland and Bletchley. See image 34689
