Towards the south end of the former excursion platform 1 at Scarborough stands Falsgrave signal box, seen here looking north west on 28 September 2008. The length of this platform can be appreciated by looking back beyond Belgrave Terrace Road Bridge towards the dome standing above the station in the right background and the FTP 185 unit that can just be seen stabled in platform 2 (whose buffer stops stand alongside those of platform 1).
