Rose Grove Shed

Stanier 8F 48727 on shed at Rose Grove, Burnley (latterly BR code 10F) in the mid 1960s, photographed from the station platform just to the south east of the site. Rose Grove, together with Lostock Hall and Carnforth, formed the last of BRs main line operational steam sheds. The buildings seen here were demolished shortly after official closure in August 1968 and much of the area now forms part of the M65 Motorway.
